The week in public sector IT: the biggest tenders and awards (26/02)

This is the fourth instalment of a new weekly feature analysing the biggest public sector IT deals. In partnership with data analysis firm Tussell, we drill down into the top ten most valuable tenders and awards from the previous week, and take stock of which tech firms have won the biggest share of the public sector pie.

Top 10 biggest tenders

The top spot for tenders once again goes to a university. This week, it’s the University of Nottingham, which is seeking to implement a framework for the supply of core IT services, including hardware and software. The university has separated the framework into two categories – users devices and infrastructure – and will appoint a single supplier for each. Firms have until 23 March to apply.

Top 10 biggest awards

IT services giant HCL Technologies has scooped up by far the biggest award unveiled last week, and is, as such, also the biggest supplier of the week. A2Dominion, one of the South East’s leading house builders, has tasked the firm with delivering new enterprise-wide technology, covering customer relationship management, corporate applications and HR and Payroll. The contract is worth £25m.
