Last week’s standout tender is the Welsh government’s £200m broadband contract. Not only is it by far the most valuable tender, it is also the most ambitious. The tender marks the start of the second phase of a national project to extend high speed broadband (30Mbps connections) to parts of Wales deemed commercially unviable. Companies have until 20 April to submit their bids.

The biggest award of the week relates to end-user computing services to support the rollout of the Ministry of Justice’s common ICT infrastructure, as part of its delayed digital transformation programme. It was won by IT service management company EntServ UK.
