Title: Digital capability services to deliver urgent DDaT requirements
The lowdown: It might not be the largest deal of the week, but one of the most eye-catching comes from the Government Digital Service (GDS). The Cabinet Office unit is looking to recruit a new supplier to deliver “time constrained digital, data and technology projects” across Whitehall and arms-length bodies. The move comes after “the success” of similar work on urgent no-deal Brexit preparations in the last few months, according to the Cabinet Office. As NS Tech reported at the time, the initial projects were delivered by Deloitte, Cognizant and PA Consulting.

The lowdown: The consultancy firm BJSS has won one of the largest awards announced last week: a £9.9m deal to supply the Home Office with an immigration case work system. BJSS says the system will make it easier for Home Office staff to access data about immigration applications. The contract will remain in place until 2021.
