Prior information notices

Argyll and Bute Council has unveiled plans to overhaul both its financial management and HR and payroll management services. The prior information notices are light on detail; the Scottish local authority is yet to reveal how much the deals would be worth or how long the new contracts would remain in place.

One of the largest tenders of the week comes from Newcastle University, which is setting up a dynamic purchasing system to manage the supply, installation and maintenance of its Huawei networking equipment. The contract has an estimated value of £15m and will remain in place for four years. The closing date for applications is 6 January.

Computacentre has secured the single largest award unveiled last week: a £27m contract to provide core support services to Transport for London. Under the terms of the deal, Computacentre will deliver service desk and desk side support services, guidance on deploying new technology, technical resources and service performance to the public transport provider. The contract will last for four years.
