Prior information notices

The UK’s tax authority is searching for a supplier to provide a digital notebook application, used by field-officers to record evidence during civil and criminal investigations. According to the notice, the application “will have the capability to: [record notes], take photographs, record video/audio, receive witness signatures and perform speech-to-text (in multiple languages).” Prospective suppliers have until 3 September to submit their applications.

Tenders

The Scottish Government has launched the biggest tender of the week, an £80m framework to manage the supply of computers, phones and other hardware. The contract was published on 12 August and prospective suppliers have until 17 September to apply.

Awards

Telent has won one of the largest awards announced last week: a contract worth up to £30m to provide the House of Lords with essential IT services. The contract began on 1 August and will remain in place for seven years.
