The biggest govtech deals of the week (22/7/19)

Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation has issued the biggest PIN of the week: a £100m framework for IT managed services in the education sector. The notice states: “The solution can be from a call off for support, or a fully outsourced ICT provision.” The framework covers a range of services, from IT health-checks to the redevelopment of an entire infrastructure.

The biggest single tender of the week comes from Northern Ireland Water, which has vowed to spend up to £7.5m on a new digital services solution to satisfy “demanding” expectations. Suppliers have until 27 August to apply to carry out the work, which will get underway in January and last for four years.

Niche Technology UK has won one of the largest awards announced last week: a place £8.9m contract to provide Devon and Cornwall Police with a records management system. The system, according to the notice “will manage information across the key policing functions of crime and case management, custody, intelligence and investigation”.
