Prior information notices

The Department for Transport (DfT) has issued the biggest PIN of the week: a £15m contract to host, support and maintain its blue badge service. According to the notice, the supplier will be tasked with working “in collaboration with DfT and any […] stakeholders to provide an effective and seamless service transition, live service and product and service development/continuous improvement”.

Tenders

The biggest tender of the week comes from Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure, which has committed to spend up to £28.5m on an IT system for planning departments. The contract was published on 6 August and prospective suppliers have until 6 September to submit their bids.

Awards

The outsourcing giant Capgemini won the biggest single award unveiled last week: a £3.8m contract to provide the Department for Work and Pensions with support in delivering Crown Hosting Services. The contract began on 1 October 2018 and will remain in place for two years.
