The lowdown
: The NHS has unveiled plans to use robots to automate back office tasks such as stock management in pharmacies, so that staff can spend more time working with patients. The programme, managed through a supplier framework, will improve patient waiting times and clinical workflow, the health service claims in a pre-tender notice. Prospective buyers have until 16 April to register their interest. It’s expected that the contract will be published before September.
