Lowdown: It has been another quiet week on the public sector tech planning front, with only three prior information notices issued in recent days. One of those comes from Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, which is looking to commission a tech services supplier to provide strategy and service design consultancy, transition and transformation services and operational support. The lowdown: One of the largest tenders of the week comes from North Yorkshire Council, which is searching for a supplier to roll out the fourth phase of its superfast broadband project. The local authority has acknowledged that the “sparsity of population” in the region makes it commercially unappealing for broadband providers and is looking to subsidise the infrastructure to the tune of £12.5m.
