This is the latest instalment of a weekly feature analysing the UK’s biggest public sector tech deals. In partnership with data analysis firm Tussell, we drill down into the top ten most valuable tenders and awards from the previous week, and take stock of which tech firms have won the biggest share of the public sector pie.
The top 10 tenders
The most eye-catching tender of the week is also the most valuable. On behalf of the National Police Technology Council, the East Midlands Strategic Commercial Unit is searching for a partner to launch a National Management Centre that provides “a comprehensive range of cyber security and network management services to UK Policing”.
The centre will be nationally coordinated and “locally delivered”, giving forces the ability to buy security services based on their risks. But it will also take a birds eye view of the threats facing the UK’s 48 forces to “proactively defend” their critical networks. Companies have until 20 July to submit their bids. The contract is worth £20m.
