Tenders

The biggest tender of the week comes from the East Midlands Strategic Commercial Unit, which has unveiled plans for a framework for IT training services. The deadline for applications is 12 May and the framework is worth £50m.

The National Procurement Service has launched a scoping exercise for the second generation of the Welsh IT products and services framework. The agreement will enable Wales organisations to buy a range of tech from a list of approved vendors.

Awards

British software firm Timnexus has won one of the largest contracts of the week: a £7.8m deal to provide the Ministry of Defence with a solution to manage issues which could affect the “airworthiness” of aircraft. The work began at the start of April and will run through to the end of March 2021.
