The week in public sector tech: the biggest tenders and awards (21/05)

This is the latest instalment of a weekly feature analysing the UK’s biggest public sector tech deals. In partnership with data analysis firm Tussell, we drill down into the top ten most valuable tenders and awards from the previous week, and take stock of which tech firms have won the biggest share of the public sector pie.

The top 10 tenders

The biggest tender of the week is the Department of Education’s £10m deal for a teachers’ pension system. The department is searching for a strategic partner to introduce and deploy a modern system without interrupting the existing service. The deadline for applications is 20 June.

The top 10 awards

Belfast-based Kainos Software won the biggest award of the week – an £8m contract to assist the Land Registry with the prototyping and development of digital services. It was awarded on 6 December and will last for two years.
