The Internet is Broken

One of the main promises of edge-based SD-WAN vendors is that by using the public Internet, you will be able to offload MPLS traffic while maintaining the same level of availability, and by doing so, achieve a positive ROI. 

The reality is that the public Internet is the “wild west” of networking. It’s an unpredictable platform where latency is determined by commercial agreements between the providers not by what’s best for enterprises.
